¶ Hueys Fishing
Huey is a fisherman merchant who will trade you fish for Fish Points and money. You can receive more Fish Points and money if the fish is larger or if the fish is higher in rarity. When you've accumulated enough Fish Points, you can buy items from the Huey Shop. Some gamemodes may also reward you with mana; 1 mana per fish or 10 mana per fish (Creative). You can visit Huey at spawn or you can do /fish to sell fish, open the fishing log or look at the fish shop.
¶ Fishing Log
When you obtain a new fish for the first time, the fishing log will change from 'undiscovered' (iron bars) to the fish texture that you've caught. When you hover over a fish, you can see the name of the fish and how many times you've caught it.
You can view the other fish rarities by clicking on the glass panes. Fish rarity includes Common (Green), Uncommon (Blue), Rare (Red) and Legendary (Purple) fish. Some gamemodes require that you catch a legendary fish or a treasure crate by winning a minigame. You must time your clicks to fill up the bar, when you've filled the bar, you will receive the legendary item.

¶ Lava Fishing
Like normal fishing, you can also fish in lava. This has been introduced on Survival and KitPvP. With KitPvP, you can unlock a lava fishing area that has a higher chance of receiving better fish. On Survival you can fish anywhere that has lava; The Nether, Burninglands etc. There are no particles to show that a fish is heading your way so you must reel in your fishing rod whilst it's bobbing.
¶ Regional Fishing
The release of Survival Season 9 introduced the ability to catch certain fish in certain Biomes and Worlds. Now when looking for a specific fish you can find the biome that fish will be available in and cast your line in the corresponding region. There is also a chance to catch all fish in the Spawn.
